Designing With Web - Part 3: week 1

Reinvent museum visit experience for kids with a mobile app

Group 39

Project 1: Draw your museum

Context

when? where? who? why?

The purpose of our application is to allow children to have fun while visiting the Louvre. The application would allow parents to ensure that their child develops their creativity and passion for art by reproducing the Louvre's works of art.

The app will be a game where children will have to select a work of art and a design in order to reproduce it.

Target

for whom?

Our potential users are therefore children old enough to read but too young to own a smartphone. It is therefore parents who would download the application and lend their phones to their child during the visit in order to develop their creativity.

Service offered

what? how?

Our application is therefore a child's game. The goal is to choose a work of art to reproduce and how you would like to reproduce it (in the form of a puzzle, a point-by-point drawing or even colouring). The child then develops his creativity while having fun. The user will then be able to save his production or even share it, he will even have information about the painting he reproduces (artistic trend...). It is therefore not only a simple game that aims to develop the child's creativity but it is also a game with an educational purpose that will both entertain and educate the child.

Project 2: Quizz map

Context

when? where? who? why?

We are trying to create an application that would allow children to learn about art while having fun while visiting the Louvre. Indeed, our application is actually a quiz on the various exhibitions of the Louvre, so by playing during the visit with or without parents the child will have fun trying to get a good score which will then develop also his knowledge.

The game will develop their competitive spirit, their knowledge and especially will amuse them during the visit.

Target

for whom?

Our potential users would be children too young to have their own smartphone but old enough to read. So it would be the parents who would download the game. The application also offers to compete parents and children so parents are not only those who download the game but can also be a user.

Service offered

what? how?

The goal of the game is to submit the child to a quiz on the exhibition of his choice so that he learns while having fun. Indeed, after answering the quiz, he gets a score that he can compare to his friends and his parents he can also improve it to beat other users. In addition, at the end of each quiz he will have a summary of information to know about the exhibition he has chosen. This game is the way to amuse the child by educating him, but also to develop his competitive spirit by making him face his parents and friends. So it's a fun educational game to play as a family or alone.
